Technopolis Gathers Music Lovers at Live Concerts Throughout September

Since mid-July and until the end of September, Technopolis, the old gasworks factory-turned municipal multi-arts space and radio station will be booming with a grand variety of live gigs.

From fresh talents on the scene to classic artists and major stage personas, the Technopolis stage will keep Athenians and visitors entertained almost every night of this coming month. Unplugged sessions, nostalgic sounds, pop, rock, jazz, hip hop and even traditional Greek are all part of the programme.

Every May, Technopolis hosts the Jazz Festival, which gathers crowds that spread out across its lawns sipping ice cold beer while listening to some of the best jazz bands from around Europe. So this July-September event is an added treat for music lovers who want to sit or lie under the stars enjoying their favourite music, or even something they’ve never heard before.

Some of the September highlights of the Technopolis music festival include the Off The Hook Festival musicians on Friday and Saturday 4-5, Apostolos Barbayiannis’ ‘Tsolias and the Tsolia Band on Thursday 10th, Ian Jefferson Presents Jethro Tull on Saturday 12th, Anna Vissi on Monday 14th, Luke Elliot on the following day Tuesday 15th, the lyrical poet-singer Alkinoos Ioannides Solo on Thursday 17th, Wim Mertens with his Inescapable 40th Anniversary performance on Saturday 19th and Eleonora Zouganeli on Sunday the 20th.
