This beloved Athenian dance festival returns to the Agora of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre, where visitors can catch an unforgettable three days of impressive dancing! The event includes dance lessons, dance shows and DJ sets, inviting everyone to put on their “dancing shoes” and to get moving! It is undeniably a dance/music experience not to be missed!

Tribute to Maria Callas at the Herodium

The Greek National Opera’s tribute program marking the centennial anniversary of Maria Callas’ birth will reach new heights with a major opera gala, Callas at the Herodium. Four acclaimed sopranos of global standing (Anna Pirozzi, Catherine Foster, Vassiliki Karayanni, and Nina Minasyan) and the Greek National Opera will be performing arias, which were firstly performed by the outstanding soprano as part of her historic appearances at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in 1944 and 1957. This will be an experience for opera (and not only) lovers!

29th Athens International Film Festival

Every year the Athens International Film Festival and cinemagazine.gr organise a huge cinematic event that aims to link life in the city with the seventh art. Film screenings are held at unique cinema spots around the city.

With the intention of highlighting lesser-known aspects of independent cinema, audiences will be introduced to some of the best productions of the year, as the film festival presents a handpicked selection of independent productions from all over the world.

Athens Coffee Festival

The Athens Coffee Festival is a great celebration of coffee and culture! It’s the biggest coffee festival in Greece, and is perfect for coffee connoisseurs searching for excellent quality varieties, for those who want to get to know well-known coffee brands up close, or for anyone who would like to get their hit of caffeine from the hands of award-winning baristas.

Entry: One-day ticket costs 5 euros, a 3-day ticket costs 12 euros. Admission for children under 12 is free.

15th International Dance Festival

Unfolding in various venues across Athens and culminating in the Municipal Theater of Piraeus at the “Arc For Dance Festival ” you’ll be able to catch seven original dance works: three making their world premiere and four debuting their first presentation in Athens!

9th Burger Festival

European Heritage Days 2023

Greece is celebrating the European Heritage Days 2023 with the shared European theme “Cultural Heritage and Tradition: Testimonies of the Past in the Present” (European Heritage Days 2023: Living Heritage) with free entrance to archaeological sites and museums for all visitors in Athens!
