Greece’s privatizations office is getting ready to put on the market six real estate assets in tourism in a bid to take advantage of positive momentum in the sector.
The properties include marinas, thermal springs and campsites across Greece in tenders that are likely to be ready by the end of the first quarter of 2022, sources told GreekGuru.net.
The recently appointed board of the privatizations office, HRADF, collected last week four bids for another key state asset sale in Gournes, a former US military base on the north shore of Crete. Bids were submitted from Club Hotel Casino Loutraki SA – Lyktos Holdings SA, Dimand SA, Reds SA and one from Luxembourg-based real estate company Vivion Investments
Specifically, the batch of six properties up next are Edipsos Thermal Springs, Koniavitis Thermal Spring and Camping, Pylos Marina, the Lefkimmas Marina, Aghia Triada beach and camping and the thermal springs of Loutropolis, Kamena Vourla.
Edipsos thermal springs
Coastal property on the south end of Loutra Edipsou with an unobstructed view to the north Evia gulf and the coast of Fthiotida. The old “Agioi Anargyroi” hydrotherapy center had been developed within the property before 1950, a new Hydrotherapy complex was erected in 1985, together with an exterior swimming pool and spring water collection tanks. The Hydrotherapy center is supplied from a thermal natural resource from three recognised thermal springs (“Kompogianni”, “Letta Vassilakou” and “Thermopotamos”) and two thermal springs (Artemis & G1) which are at an advanced stage of recognition. The broader area of Loutra Edipsou, famous since antiquity for its thermal springs, has been since the early 20th century a popular place of therapy and summer holidays of international reputation. Its rich thermal capacity, valuable for health and wellness, the landscapes of unmatched natural beauty and infrastructures that have been developed to make Loutra Edipsou the largest thermal spring town in Greece and one of the most important ones in Europe.

Koniavitis thermal spring and camping
Coastal property on the south part of the Maliakos Gulf,at the west of the Kamena Vourla town, one of the most famous thermal spring centers since the 1930s. The coastal front of the property (north boundary) consists of a sandy beach with a length of around 1150 m, while its south part is adjacent to the Athens – Thessaloniki National Road (PATHE). A campsite operated on the property in the past. The property is supplied by 2 Thermal Springs, one of which has already been recognised while recognition procedures are underway for the second one. The combination of sea, thermal springs and forested mountain, render the area a remarkable, emblematic and famous resort, at a close distance from Athens, which attracts significant tourist traffic.
The marina of Pylos
Pylos marina is located in the central and northeastern part of the coastal zone of the city of Pylos and has the capacity to moor 129 boats with a length of 8m. up to 30m. The land area of the marina has an area of 32,195 sq.m. Based on the new Spatial Plan for the marina (Presidential Decree of the Government Gazette), the building rate is 20%, while the coverage rate is 30%. The marina will offer tourism and leisure uses which include the use of a house with a quota of up to 20%.

The marina of Lefkimmi, Corfu
The Port of Lefkimmi is located in South Corfu 43km from the city of Corfu and offers ferry access to Igoumenitsa. Administratively, it is under the capacity of the Corfu Port Authority S.A.
Agia Triada beach and camping
Coastal property at the Agia Triada village. The property has an extensive sandy beachfront of approximately 600 m and dense tree vegetation of exceptional natural beauty on its terrestrial part. There are old and abandoned installations, infrastructure and camping facilities on the landplot. The broader area of the property, due to its proximity with Thessaloniki and Halkidiki and its easy accessibility attracts visitors from Northern Greece and South-eastern Europe. The property is suitable for the development of uses of Tourism-Leisure and/or Holiday Homes.
Thermal spring of Loutropolis Kamena Vourla
Coastal property on the south part of the Maliakos Bay, in the center of the Kamena Vourla town, one of the most famous thermal spring centers since the 1930s. The coastal front of the property (northern boundary) consists of a sandy beach with a length of approximately 520 m, whereas the south boundary extends to the pine-tree-covered sides of Mounts Knimis, part of the Kallidromos Mountain range. Inside the property there is a luxury 5-star unit in operation, with a Wellness center & SPA and hydrotherapy units supplied by Thermal Springs, for which recognition processes are under way. The combination of sea, thermal springs and forested mountain render the area a remarkable, emblematic and famous resort, at a close distance from Athens, which attracts significant tourist traffic.
Sources indicate that the development of the Pylos marina is in a mature stage, while the marinas in Corfu are in the planning phase of the development project. In Edipsos, the feasibility study is expected in order to evaluate the possibilities of utilization, as the property needs extensive work.
